Track and Field
Trent Park Running Club athletes train and compete in Track and Field competitions throughout the year.
The Track and Field events for 2013 are:
  • 29th April, Lea Valley
  • 20th May, Lea Valley
  • 10th June, Lea Valley
  • 8th July, Hemel Hempsted
In the summer months, Trent Park's Young Athletes compete in the Eastern Young Athletes League, the seniors compete in the Southern Mens and Womens Leagues in a Joint team along with athletes from Barnet & District AC, and our Vets compete in the SCVAC League.
In addition to the League competitions, our members are well represented at the various Open Graded events that occur locally, and some members also compete at the Southern Counties Championships, National Championships, European and World Championships.
The club currently pays for exclusive use of the newly refurbished Queen Elizabeth II Stadium situated behind David Lloyds in Donkey Lane, Enfield. We are there most Tuesday evenings (unless a football match is taking place) from 7:30pm until 9pm, throughout the year. There are always a number of different sessions taking place, ranging from our walk to run group, through to our fastest runners.
The track sessions are open to all members, of any ability to use at no additional cost, they provide a pressure free, safe, flood-lite facility to train in.
These sessions are supplemented by additional sessions held at the club's home in Trent Park on Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings.
Video analysis is available to the club's athletes.
The club also makes use of the new facilities at The Lea Valley Athletics Centre.
The Centre is the largest indoor and outdoor athletics facility serving London and the South East with the only indoor 200 metre six lane track in the South of England.
It also has a 110 metre sprint straight and permanent seating for 500 spectators both inside and out, full jumps and throws capacity, physiotherapy rooms, strength and conditioning rooms, seminar room and a cafeteria.
